Is dropshipping allowed on eBay UK?

Last checked 29 September 2026

Yes — with one important condition. eBay allows dropshipping from a wholesale supplier, and does not allow listing an item and then buying it from another retailer or marketplace that ships it to your buyer.

What eBay’s policy says

eBay’s drop shipping policy states that dropshipping, “where you fulfil orders directly from a wholesale supplier, is allowed on eBay.” It also states that “listing an item on eBay and then purchasing the item from another retailer or marketplace that ships directly to your customer is not allowed.”

Whichever way you fulfil, “you’re still responsible for the safe delivery of the item within the time frame you stated in your listing, and the buyer’s overall satisfaction with their purchase.” eBay can remove listings, restrict selling or suspend accounts that break the policy.

What that means in practice

  • Work with suppliers that sell to businesses for resale — a wholesale or dropshipping supplier — rather than buying retail from another shop.
  • Set handling and delivery times you can actually meet. Late deliveries count against you whoever shipped the parcel.
  • Returns, “item not received” cases and buyer questions are yours to handle, not the supplier’s.
  • Upload tracking promptly so the buyer (and eBay) can see the parcel moving.

Where Zixo fits

Zixo does not decide which suppliers are acceptable on eBay — you do. What it does is keep the mechanics tight: it uploads tracking to the eBay order as soon as the supplier ships, sets a listing to zero stock when the supplier runs out, and never publishes or orders without your approval.
