CJ Dropshipping vs AliExpress for UK sellers

Last checked 29 September 2026

Both can fulfil your orders automatically through Zixo. The differences that matter are what kind of supplier each is, how you connect it, and what that means on eBay.

What each one is

CJ Dropshipping is a dropshipping supplier: it sources products and ships them to your buyers on your behalf, and sells to you as a business. AliExpress is a marketplace of many independent sellers, with a dropshipping programme and API for resellers.

How they connect to Zixo

  • CJ Dropshipping: add your CJ API key.
  • AliExpress: authorise your AliExpress account once.
  • Either way, approved orders are placed for you and the tracking goes back to the sale.

What eBay’s policy means for each

eBay allows fulfilling from a wholesale supplier and does not allow buying from another retailer or marketplace that ships directly to your customer. Before listing on eBay, judge whether your supplier and the way you buy from it fit that — the full rules are here. On your own WooCommerce store, eBay’s policy does not apply.

Compare on the numbers, per product

Price and delivery vary by product and by shipping method, so compare a product at a time rather than choosing one supplier for everything. Zixo shows the supplier cost and shipping against the marketplace selling price and works out the profit after fees and VAT, and suppliers are unlimited on every plan — so you can keep both connected and choose per listing.
